When you walk through the center, you immediately notice: there are quite a few 'for rent' placards on the empty shophouses in the city. Sometimes there is a direct link with the corona crisis, other retail properties have been available for a while. Anyway: we hope that these buildings will soon be brimming with creativity and coziness.

The number of visitors to the shopping areas of major cities halved between 5 and 11 October compared to the same week last year, as a result of the measures surrounding the corona crisis. This is apparent from an analysis of turnover and visitor numbers of retail chains by industry organization INretail.
